A Taqueria Pulls in Tex-Mex and Persian Flavors

Scott Koshnoodi, an alum of WD-50 and Aquavit, opened Parklife alongside business partner Julie Kim, with whom he operates Littlefield, a venue nearby. Upon opening, the Parklife menu played it straight with Mexican staples: This year, Koshnoodi overhauled the menu to fuse Mexican and Texan flavors with his Persian heritage. There’s an octopus taco with saffron rice with barberry and smoked lentils, as well as a chicken taco with saffron yogurt and lime, served alongside Frito pies. For dessert, there’s a churro with Persian lime.
